I was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and have lived in the metro area my entire life. My paternal ancestry is Sicilian, originating from Alcamo, Termini Imerese, Palermo and Cefalù. After graduating from Grandville High School, I studied automotive technology and photography at Grand Rapids Community College. I have been selling Ford and Mazda parts in the area for over 20 years and am currently employed at Borgman Ford/Mazda. I was recently elected Vice President of the Grandville Historical Commission and enjoy studying the history of West Michigan. I am also a professional genealogist and have been working on my family tree for over 30 years. I have done extensive research about the history of the Italian community in the Grand Rapids area and I want to keep expanding my knowledge in that field. Other hobbies include attending and participating in car shows, drag racing, building Lego sets, collecting antiques and traveling with my wife. I have not been to Italy as of yet but my wife and I are planning a trip to Sicily in a few years.
