Jason Mancuso - Trustees

Biographical Info

I was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and have lived in the metro area my entire life. My Sicilian ancestors all arrived in Grand Rapids before 1920, originating from Alcamo, Termini Imerese, Palermo and Cefalù. After graduating from Grandville High School, I studied automotive technology and photography at Grand Rapids Community College. I recently finished the certificate course at Boston University in the field of genealogy to improve my research skills. I have been passionate about genealogy and the history of the West Michigan area for over 35 years. I have done extensive research pertaining to the history of West Michigan’s Italian-American community and have taken the lead on forming an Italian special interest group within the West Michigan Genealogical Society. I also love to travel with my wife and we are hoping to visit Sicily in the near future.
